Saturday & Sunday rest days in Adelaide
On Monday 16th March The planned project is a fencing project up in the Adelaide Hills where the January bushfires burnt through Minya Wildlife Sanctuary.
*** Please be at the carpark of the CVA office at 111 Franklin Street at 7.45am to meet your CVA Team Leader Kathryn Hastie. It will be a small team for this fencing project, only 4 volunteers needed so you and Jorris plus 2 local volunteers.
Tuesday 17th March is woody weed control along the River Torrens or in nearby areas in the city parklands.
Wednesday 18th March – a working bee at The Joinery (CVA’s office location), tidying up the outdoor garden and carpark areas and interior downstairs areas, maybe sanding and painting depending on how far work has progressed.
Thursday 19th March is weeding at Woorabinda Bushland Reserves near Stirling in the Adelaide Hills. Beautiful eucalypt woodland with lots of native birds. Home to bandicoots though you are unlikely to see them as they are very shy.
Friday 20th March – still waiting for details of project.

*** Check out of YHA early on Monday morning before going to CVA for 7.45am to load team vehicle and depart Adelaide.
Monday 23rd to Friday 27th March – residential project away from Adelaide, 5 days/4 nights at Brookfield Conservation Park, near Blanchetown in the Murray Mallee semi-arid region of South Australia. General maintenance of the park which could include plant and/or animal surveys (native and/or feral species), track maintenance, weeding, repair of fences, maintenance of Scientific Camp facilities. Brookfield is home to the Southern Hairy-nosed Wombats, malleefowl, red kangaroos, grey kangaroos, possums, lots of reptiles and lots of native birds. Returning into Adelaide by 4.00pm on Friday to finish with CVA.
